If you like fresh produce (and want to know where to find it), here is a list of my favorite local Farmers Markets near Hobe Sound.
Shadowwood Farms, Palm City

Farmer Markets near Hobe Sound
6220 SW Martin Highway, Palm City FL 34990.
Hours of operation: The days and hours vary, so its best to check in with them on their website at http://www.shadowoodfarm.com/
Shadowood Farm is a “certified” organic and sustainable farm located in Palm City. The farm is situated on 10 lush acres and is solar-powered.
It is visually stunning, with lush plants and flowers, gazebos, veggies, bird feeders, and butterflies.
Their main mission is to educate people on how to grow food sustainably. They offer garden plots and educational gardening classes.
If you get on their mailing list they will send a weekly list of fresh produce that will be available for the following week.
They also host weddings and special events.
They grow herbs, peppers, collards, several varieties of tomatoes, spinach, potatoes, onions, garlic, ginger celery, cucumber, escarole- the list is ever-changing due to the time of year and growing conditions.
KaI-Kai Farms- Indiantown

Location: 8006 SW Kanner Hwy, Indiantown, FL 34956
Farmer’s market open: Saturdays from 10 AM to 3 pm (during winter months only).
Kai Kai Farms grows specialty produce for local chefs and sells home grown produce to the public on Saturdays from 10 am to 3 pm.
One of their largest draws are their “Farm to Table” dinners that they host throughout the year. They invite local chefs to come to the farm and use the produce from the farm to cook meals.
Recently, my partner Chuck and I went to one of these dinners that was hosted by Chef Mark Muller, from Ellies Downtown Deli in downtown Stuart.
The food was to die for!
Here is a sample of the five-course menu. Wine was served, and it was a good “date night” thing to do. There were about 50-75 guests, and the service was excellent-!

Kai-Kai Farms also sells produce at The Gardens GreenMarket on Sundays (October-May) at 10500 N Military Trail, Palm Beach Gardens, FL 33410
Jupiter Creamery

Jupiter Farms Creamery is located in Jupiter Farms just north of Indiantown Road and is a 10-acre organic farm that has cows, pigs, chickens, and hosts several ongoing classes such as butter making, sauerkraut workshop, soap making, and poultry workshops.
Their Facebook page has a list of upcoming classes.

They sell fresh eggs, butter, and milk.
Colab Kitchen (Formerly Ground Floor Farm)
Location: 100 SE Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Stuart, FL 34994
https://www.colabfarms.com/markets
Hours of operation: Scheduled to open in 2020
The location is on 1.12 acres in the urban downtown area of Stuart. What makes this place special is food is grown on the premises, both “in the dirt” and hydroponically.
The prior owners of Ground Floor Farms sold to the new owners last year.
Locals are anxiously awaiting the opening of this new restaurant! However, they do currently sell produce on weekends at the Stuart Green Market (see below).
